Jeremy is officially a private pilot! We drove up to Caldwell, Idaho so Jer could test for his license. We were both crossing our fingers that he would pass so we didn't have to make that drive again. We drove up the night before and then Jer had his test the next afternoon. He wasn't feeling the greatest so I was hoping he would still be able to concentrate even though he was sick. So he left and me and Kohen just hung out at the hotel. His first test was the ground test or oral test. He had told me if he didn't pass that then he wouldn't do the flying test. Each test was about 2 hours long. So, 2 hours goes by and I kept crossing my fingers that my phone wouldn't ring. Finally, there is a knock at the door and it was Jer. I said, "So?...." and he said "I don't know how but I passed!" I was so PROUD of him and excited for him. I was ecstatic but he felt like he could have done better so he was a little disappointed. He had some type of flu bug so I had to keep reminding him that he did his absolute best under the circumstances and to give himself a break! It was all worth it. We went out to eat and then he came back and went straight to bed so we didn't really get to celebrate but I am extremely proud of him. He worked so hard at studying and going to school long hours he definitely deserved this license! Way to go Sweetie!!
This is an older picture of Jer but its the only one I have. This is actually a picture of his first solo flight.
Kohen and I went to the pool too. It was his first time at a pool where he could be in a floaty.
He seemed to enjoy it the more he got used to it. He didn't absolutely hate it so I'm glad it gave us something else to do. (Caldwell isn't exactly a vacationing spot if you know what I mean). After the pool it was the disney channel and some relaxation. I made Kohen a little chair out of his floaty and a blanket. That kept him occupied oh about 10 seconds...
All in all it was a good trip, especially since Jeremy passed which means we wouldn't have to go up there for a second try! Now the rest of schooling begins. One license down, 2 to go!
